Every year The Daughters of Penelope join the other members of The Order of Ahepa to have a national convention for all the chapters around the country. Their mission is simple “To promote the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism.” (https://ahepa.org/) This last July, I was lucky enough to be able to donate 30 ‘Owlberta’ books to their literacy scholarship program—all funded by book sales at the conventions and through their Amazon book club.
